This is a CLOSED species for the time being.  That means do not make one unless you have permission from me.

What are they:
Spinners are a subspecies of breezies.  They are larger than equestrian breezies and are the only wingless/flightless breezie species living in the grotto.

Spinners are a big fan of insects and are the equivalent to bug pony carnivores.  Not saying they eat other breezies though.

(More traits will be added later.)

Habits:
Spinners like to live in the old abandoned burrows and tunnels of others.  They don't like anything going to waste and will reuse what's not wanted when they can.  They like to live on their own, but aren't averse to close neighbors and family.
Crafting and construction are their main trades.  The extra limbs they possess make weaving and maneuvering through tight spaces easy.  The cloth they weave often has very vivid patters and, when made from a Spinner's silk, possesses a great strength not easily found in other fabrics.
Spinners do produce their own silk, and in the same way as the spiders they evolved their traits from.  It's sticky when first made and is excellent for hanging and repelling down steep cliffs.  If it's gathered and left to dry it does lose it's stickiness and can be used for crafting.  Unfortunately they don't produce their own silk too often.  Many Spinners take to gathering their silk into buns and bows on their hindquarters as a 'pretend tail' rather than just using it all the time.

Overall, though, Spinners are very spiritual.  They place a lot of faith in the nature spirits that govern the grotto and do their best not to upset them.  Seri, the high priestess, is the leader of the Spinners and the only one of the spinners who can directly communicate with the higher spirits.  They offer her guidance and she leads her people with that.

They possess a great respect for the land and will defend whoever's upsetting that balance.

-When their extra legs are not in use they fold them up on their backs, much like wings.
-Spinners will purr when happy.
-They can climb walls
-They have large ears to help with extremely dark areas.
-Baby Spinners are always very light, pastel colors.  They darken up as they get older.
